Nissan to Offer Personalized Graphic Wraps for 2012 NV Vans

As well as releasing pricing for its all-new 2012 NV Commercial Van, Nissan also announced a partnership agreement with Original Wraps to provide future owners of the van with personalized graphics. The Japanese maker said the application will be available through the Nissan Commercial Vehicle website in January 2011. The graphics are printed on automotive grade 3M Scotchprint On-Demand vinyl and are laminated for protection and fade resistance. They can also be removed without causing any damage to the van's paint job.

Nissan Releases UK Pricing for New NV200 Panel Van

The new Nissan NV200 compact van goes on sale in the UK priced at £13,867.50 for the entry-level E model that gets among other features standard CD / MP3 audio system and keyless entry while the £14,442.50 will get you in the SE grade that adds electric front windows and a full steel bulkhead. Both models are powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that returns a combined fuel economy of 54mpg UK (44.9 mpg US or 5.2lt/100km) with CO2 emissions of 137g/km.

Those who want to add more to the NV200's standard kit list can choose from various optional extras such as air conditioning for £575, glazed rear doors for £150 and a safety pack that includes air con for £1,000.

Nissan said that a Combi version with the option of seven seats will join the NV200's range later with prices to be announced closer to its launch date in February of 2010.

Tokyo '09: Nissan Announces All-Electric Version of NV200 LCV

As well as confirming plans for a battery-powered Infiniti model that will be introduced in the very near future at his speech today at the Tokyo Motor Show opening, Nissan Motor Co. President and CEO Carlos Ghosn also revealed that Nissan will produce an electric version of the firm's newly introduced NV200 light commercial vehicle.

"This low-cost multi-purpose vehicle would allow ambulance drivers to drive directly into the hospital... or van and taxi drivers to enter urban areas where CO2 emissions are restricted," said Carlos Ghosn on the NV200 EV. "It's a flexible, practical vehicle with zero emissions."

While the Japanese automaker released a teaser sketch of the fully electric NV200, no other information was given out on the vehicle.

Tokyo '09: New Nissan NV200 Vanette Taxi

Along with the far more interesting Leaf EV, Land Glider Concept and the Fuga flagship sedan, Nissan announced that it will also launch a new taxi based on the NV200 Vanette at this month's 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. According to the automaker, the NV200 Vanette Taxi has been designed to address and support the "ever-more-important needs" of Japan's elderly and disabled as it includes numerous features such as rails that make it easier to enter and exit the vehicle. Sales of the NV Vannete cab will start in Japan towards the end of the year.

Nissan Launches New NV200 Vanette, Available as a People Carrier and LCV

Following its world premiere at the 2009 International Geneva Motor Show in March, Nissan has announced that the market launch of its next generation global van will commence in mid-May. Japan will receive the first examples of the NV200 Vanette with other international markets following shortly after. The compact NV200 Vanette will be offered in two configurations , the Van GX light commercial van with 4.1 cubic meters of loading space and the more car-like Wagon 16S people carrier that can seat up to seven passengers.

Potential customers can choose between two engines, one petrol and one diesel. The petrol version will be powered by Nissan's 1.6-litre HR16 engine, as found in Micra, Note and Qashqai. It produces 108HP and 153Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

The diesel unit, also found on Note and Micra, is the Renault-derived 1.5-liter dCi that develops 200 Nm of torque and an output of 86HP. Again, power is transmitted through a five-speed manual gearbox.
