The clever minds over at the H-Paris agency are behind this new ad for Citroen’s Fiesta-rivaling C3 supermini called the ‘Bip Bip’. The witty commercial stars a young owner of an Innocenti Mini, which is a re-bodied version of the original Mini designed by Bertone. The spot shows the man trying to emulate the sounds of a modern day car’s electronic amenities. Not quite strong, but funny nevertheless. Bonnes Nouvelles! Citroën Boss Says Metropolis Concept will Spawn DS9 Limo Made in China

Citroën's CEO of Asian operations, Gregoire Olivier, has revealed that the company is planning a production version of the beautifully styled Metropolis concept car to compete against German luxury brands, primarily in China.
The sporty looking limousine, which will most likely be called the DS9, will be built by PSA/Peugeot-Citroën's joint venture with Changan Automobile Group in China.
"The Metropolis will happen -- it will become a real car," Olivier told Autonews China on the sidelines of an industry conference in Shanghai. "The same styling elements will be used for a high-level Citroen car to be developed in China. We want to build up the premier line in China -- the Metropolis is emblematic of our approach."

Citroën teases new model before August 30th reveal. Can you guess what it is?

Being that the world's largest motor show of the year takes place on its home turf of Paris, Citroën is readying several debuts for next month's automotive fest in France. Today, the automaker released this conceptual teaser video of an unknown car that will be revealed online on Monday, August 30th, ahead of its world premiere at the Paris Auto Show. The video doesn't show much, but we did notice the DS logo on the background.
There's a good possibility the car featured in the video is the production version of the Geneva show DS High Rider concept, otherwise known as the DS4. However, it may be something different altogether like the long rumored DS5 . Watch the video after the break and tell us what you think.
Citroën Survolt Sports Car Concept to Make Racing Debut at Le Mans Classic [with Video]

Citroën is taking its funky little all-electric sports car concept, the Survolt, out for racing. Unveiled to the public for the first time at this year's Geneva Salon in March, the Survolt will make its track debut at the Le Mans Classic on July 10 piloted by racing driver Vanina Ickx, daughter of Belgian Formula One pilot, Jacky Ickx.
Along with the announcement on its first track appearance, the French carmaker also revealed technical details about the Survolt. Measuring just 3.85m long, 1.87m wide and 1.2m high, the supermini-sized Survolt features a tubular chassis, a flat underside with an extractor and full carbon bodywork. It tips the scales at just 1,150 kg or 2,535 pounds.
2011 Citroen C4: First Video and Complete Engine Specs

Following on from yesterday's release of the first photos of Citroën's new C4 compact hatchback, we just got our hands on a short static film as well as details on the engine range that will be available at launch.
When it goes on sale across Europe after its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show, the French firm's Golf-rival will be offered with a total of three petrol (plus one LPG capable) and three diesel engines.
The gasoline range includes a 95HP 1.4-liter unit coupled to a five-speed manual, a 120HP 1.6-liter available with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic, an LPG capable version of the 1.6L unit, and finally a 1.6-liter turbo with 155HP that's hooked up to a 6-speed semi-automatic gearbox.

It may look like a commercial for the Citroen C5, but it's not. What you see going on here in this amateur video is an unbelievable incident that took place (literally) in front of the Serbian parliamentary building.
It all started when a middle-aged man (evidently intoxicated) drove his Citroen C5 on the opposite side of the road. A police officer attempted to stop the driver by opening the door of his car and talk some reason into him.
At first, it looked like the police man succeeded and that the driver was willing to make a 'U' turn and stop on the other side of the road, but he didn't...

Here's the first official video clip of the limited edition Citroen DS3 Racing that will be formally introduced at the Geneva Motor Show next week. A creation of Citroen's Racing division that handles the firm's World Rally Championship cars, the DS3 Racing will be produced in a strictly limited number of 1,000 units.
The hottest variant yet of the French automaker's premium supermini is powered by a tweaked version of the BMW-PSA Citroen Peugeot co-developed 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that's also used on the rivaling MINI Cooper JCW model. In the DS3 Racing, the 1.6 THP delivers an output of 200HP.

What was originally designed by Takumi Yamamoto as a fantasy supercar for the digital world of the Gran Turismo racing game has not only turned into a real life concept car, but odds are that it will make it into a limited series production. Recently, Citroen gave Londoners the chance to see the GT supercar on the road ahead of its scheduled run at next weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed. Taking advantage of the news-thirsty internet media, Citroen is slowly revealing new bits and pieces of its MINI rivaling DS Inside hatch that will be called DS3 when it enters production during the first quarter of 2010. Although the premium hatchback made its world debut as a thinly disguised concept at the 2009 Geneva Show in March, this is the first time that we get a chance to see the car's interior which is for the most part, production ready. The French automaker has yet to release details, but it is clear from the photos that the designers have tried to give the DS3's interior a contemporary and upscale feel. 
Highlights include the two-tone leather sports seats, a neat instrument panel with three deeply-dished instrument dials, the flat bottomed three spoke steering wheel and the decorative chrome trim. Following in the footsteps of MINI, Citroen will offer DS3 buyers the chance to customize the interior with various individual options.
The DS3 that will not replace the C3 in Citroen's range, will be offered with a variety of four cylinder gasoline and diesel engines including the BMW and PSA Peugeot-Citroen developed 1.6-liter petrol unit in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms.

Insane Citroen 2CV built atop Ferrari F355 Chassis Complete with 3.5-liter V8!

Outrageous? You bet. Controversial? Sure. Ferrari blasphemy? Quite possibly. But come on, it's not like you get the chance every day to see an insane project like this. Created by a bunch of crazy Italians at Nimik, the car you see pictured above combines the modified body of the iconic French Citroen 2CV Fourgonnette bread-van with the chassis and 375bhp 3.5-liter V8 engine of a Ferrari F355! The Prancing Horse-Double Chevron crossbreed took around 1,500 man hours to complete and cost approximately €180,000 or the U.S. equivalent of $250,000.Understandably, the project was no easy task as the two cars share nothing in common other than the fact that they come equipped with four wheels... The crew over at Nimik modified the 2CV's body which is much wider than the stock Fourgonnette and now features a pair of giga-sizes vents on the sides that feed air to the mid-mounted Italian V8 powerhouse that drives the rear wheels. If you think that the end-result looks cool in the photos just wait until you see the Ferrari 2CV in action in the video below.
