The Japanese carmaker has issued a recall for 16,365 MY 2008 Infiniti EX35 and MY 2009 Nissan Murano vehicles due to incorrect software programming of the airbag control unit (ACU). The faulty software could result in the passenger airbag not inflating in a crash in which it was designed to do so thus increasing the risk of injury. Nissan and Infiniti dealers will reprogram the ACU in affected vehicles at no extra cost. March 10, 2008
