The most important news is that Ford will add six small and compact European models to the North American line-up including four-and-five door versions of the Fiesta and Focus by 2010. In contrast to earlier reports this year, the American carmaker also said that it will infuse Mercury with new models including a small car in 2010. Ford Looses $8.7 Billion in Q2, Decides to Bring Six Euro Models in the U.S.
Ford Motor Co. today reported a second-quarter net loss of $8.7 billion which is the company’s worst quarterly results ever. But to sweeten things up, FoMoCo also announced that in response to the downturn and the dramatically changing conditions in North America, Ford, Mercury and Lincoln ’s line-up will be almost completely revamped by the end of 2010.
