Chevy Volt's Batteries Protected by 8-Year / 100,000 Mile Warranty

General Motors is trying to ease buyers concerns about battery life by announcing it will guarantee the upcoming Chevrolet Volt's lithium-ion battery pack for 100,000 miles or a period of eight-years, whichever comes first.
